Sooooo... it's been a while!

After two years of building Good Sesh as a brand and really diving into how powerful it can be to share the importance of finding passion through collaboration and creativity, we’ve been taking time to figure out how to lead by example. We want to show others not just why this way of living matters—but how to make it happen! For those of us in BIPOC communities, finding accessible and inclusive spaces isn’t always easy—and feeling confident enough to get involved can be even harder. That’s where Good Sesh comes in. We're here to break down those barriers by sharing all the best spots and activities around the Bay that represent us.

If you've been following along on the journey, Good Sesh was started in a college dorm at San Francisco State University but I knew this mission was something that needed to be shared throughout the Bay Area in a way that was intentional. It wasn't till moving to Oakland, that this vision of what Good Sesh could be really came to life. After meeting and working with others in the community, I am so excited to announce that Oakland is officially the Home Base for Good Sesh!

Why Oakland, CA? Oakland, CA, is not just any location in the Bay Area. Known for its vibrant art scene, thriving restaurants, locally owned businesses, and deep-rooted community ties, Oakland is the ideal home for Good Sesh. As gentrification attempts to reshape the Bay, it is more important than ever to support the foundation of BIPOC lead organizations that make strides towards equity and empowerment for the community. At Good Sesh, we are committed to partnering with and highlighting these groups however we can.

What to Expect As we continue to grow Good Sesh in Oakland, we promise to be a hub of innovation, and positive change to uplift all the BIPOC creatives, entrepreneurs, and communities that exists here. If you don't already know, we have our social media pages, our It's Like A Fever Dream podcast and this blog to keep you in the loop with everything we're working on. Get ready for community collaborations, attending group events/sessions, and creative content that will change the way you connect with others and with yourself!

If you're not in Oakland, don't worry! Even though Oakland is our home, we will still be exploring and expanding all around the Bay Area because we can't possibly be as inclusive as we want to be without outreach.
